The Gentlewoman: Language and Representation blog tasks Gentlewoman front cover  1) What do the typefaces used on the front cover suggest to an audience? The name of the personal is written in serif to demonstrate the classic nature of attracting an audiance based on a single name 2) How does the cover subvert conventional magazine cover design? There are clearly no cover-lines so the picture is doesn't fill the entire page.The Gentlewomen magazine frequently uses different colours, so this magazine usage of colour is unconventional.  3) Write an analysis of the central image. The model is shown as being powerful due to the low viewpoint and direct method of address. 4)  What representations of gender and celebrity can be found on this front cover? Cars are related to the CSP in that both magazine categories feature the aspect of style. 2) Look at the section on GQ on page 2. How do they suggest that GQ targets its audience? Mark out of 15 for Media Language: 12 Estimated A Level coursework grade: A / B WWW: This is a seriously impressive cover in terms of photography and brand identity – I genuinely had to check which was your product and which were the real Marvin covers! That is an incredibly good sign – the requirement for A* at A Level is ‘approaching professional standards’ and in terms of photography and brand identity you are absolutely approaching that standard. Indeed, there are just a couple of elements that we need to look at to reach the top 13-15 level. Now we need to match throughout. ebi - handwriting, try to slow down and write a little smaller if you can. don't be so quick to theory  so make sure you are sharply focused on the question. 2) Read  the whole mark scheme for this assessment carefully . For question 3 i didn't include: Double consciousness: Paul Gilroy used the term double consciousness to reflect the Black experience in the UK and USA.
