Blog Feedback & Learning Response

WWW: I like your answers to the media consumption audit and particularly your plan to watch the news even if it’s boring! It’s also great to hear that you’re considering a media-based course at university – that will be one to discuss later in the year when we start the UCAS process. In the meantime, keep up the organisation and quality in your blog work to aim for those top grades.

EBI: Two key areas to improve here: firstly, some of your work is unfinished and it’s so important to make sure you are organised and fully completing work. For Semiotics you haven’t answered the questions on the ‘English’ short film (I know we discussed this but I think you should have updated this by now). Secondly, over the next few weeks try and add to the depth and detail of your blog posts. If you take your ‘Reading an image’ work for example there is a lot more you could say about both adverts and you also need to be using the media codes we learned in the lesson. Without the depth and media terminology you will be stuck on the lower grades in exams and assessments.

LR: Complete any missing or unfinished work.
